In case you didn’t know…. RichGirl is a fan of Family Guy! Have you ever seen the episode where Peter is a newscaster and he has a
segment called “You Know What Really Grinds My Gears?” Basically what really irks or irritates you. It’s sounds like I’m complaining,
maybe I am slightly (ha) but I thought this would be fun. Let me know if you can relate to some of these.
WHAT REALLY GRINDS MY GEARS!
1 When you are wearing socks and are walking around the house and you
step in something wet! Most of the time I don’t want to put on a new
sock because I am more than likely running low on socks to start with.
So I just end up walking around with a soggy sock!
2 When your nails are long and you find that tear in the side of your nail and you just can’t let be! Next thing you know, you’re picking at it to the point where I have to tear it off and end up with a short nail that is sore because it tore a little too far. Then what do you do—just have one short nail? Not me. I clip them all and have short stubby nails!
3 No one is at the gym. Treadmills are empty and I get on. Then, out of all 13 empty treadmills, you want to run on the one directly next to mine?! I know it can be for competitiveness and motivation, but are you serious!
4 It really, really grinds my gears when airlines oversell their seats—especially when I happen to be the one to get bumped off the flight! Ok YES, a simple solution would be to check in the night before, or get there early, but who really does that? If I don’t have a guaranteed seat, then I have to pretend to cry (sorry, slight diva moment) and ask for volunteers to give up their seat. AHHHHH so annoying!
5 I’m not bragging, but I have really nice luggage. I already learned my lesson about checking in—my large bag got ruined by the airline—so I never to check my medium sized suitcase, I just carry it on. I hate it when there is supposedly “no more room” in the overhead compartment for my bag. Lies! Not everyone knows how to put things in the overhead compartments properly. It takes is five minutes to rearrange! SHEESH!
